WHO WE ARE
Fast! is a not-for-profit New Zealand incorporated Society open to all science, technology and innovation minded people. We welcome members in New Zealand and in France from experienced practitioners to emerging young professionals and students, both in France and Aotearoa New Zealand.
OUR MISSION
- Promote, facilitate and foster the collaboration and transfer of scientific and technological expertise and knowledge between New Zealand and France.
- Enhance the visibility and the development of research and innovation cooperation between New Zealand and France.
- Do anything necessary or helpful to the above purposes.
WHAT DO WE DO?
- Be the key hub for all communities and individuals interested in our mission and an entry point for all, in France or New Zealand interested in the scientific & technological fields in France or New Zealand and ;
- Support, mentor and provide guidance to New Zealanders and French / francophones / francophiles scientists, students and young professionals to create opportunities, such as funding, internships, networks and;
- Promote all French & New Zealand scientific, technological and innovation related matters, and increase the visibility of the “savoir-faire” of our members and their partners to better enable collaborations, by communicating information on relevant events (e.g. conferences, visiting experts) and;
- Organise networking events for members, scientists and other professionals (yearly national and/or regional events with keynote speakers) and;
- Foster an interest in science, technology and innovation relationships between France and NZ among the general public (e.g. by organising ‘cafés scientifiques’, ‘cafés des Idées’ around thematic documentaries followed by Q&As, by ensuring our presence at targeted events)
- Use social media platforms as main points of contact and for helping with the above (e.g. website, linkedin and other media).
