Kia ora koutou / Dear friends and colleagues,
Each year, we celebrate World Ocean Day on June 8th: https://worldoceanday.org/
Every New Odyssey has a beginning…
On June 8th, join us for the release of our new documentary “A New Odyssey”.
Set in 2021, this 33’ film tells the story of Blue Cradle’s inception story during the Covid pandemic.
At a time of crisis but also of opportunity, a team of marine scientists embark on two expeditions in Northland & Fiordland working together to understand the extent of marine plastic pollution & detect the presence of invasive species. Without a healthy ocean, there is no life and no livelihoods. Through partnership, and by embracing the very special ‘social laboratory’ that we have here in Aotearoa New Zealand, bringing world views together, we can perhaps inspire others to follow and solve some of our biggest challenges.
